We chose to have a small, intimate, outdoor wedding. We always wanted a beachy, laid back wedding and thought where else but the Whitsundays! Daydream was recommended by so many websites and looked perfect for us, so we booked it. Finally our special day came around, the weather didn’t play nice, the groom was overly nervous and I had hit the cocktails too hard the day before. All my plans came crashing down as we had to change everything last minute – the joys of booking all outdoor venues. The staff on the island were amazing, they tried their best to ensure all the changes went smoothly. Brooke Miles our photographer was a godsend, coming over to the island early, even helping sort out last minute dilemmas. Our celebrant was very understanding and made every effort to ensure the ceremony went off without a glitch. Although the weather didn’t cooperate it was still the most amazing, jam packed and exciting day of my life thus far! I got to marry my best friend and have all my closest friends and family with me… and nothing, not even the horrible weather could ruin that for me. I do it all again in a heartbeat!

Jordan and Kayla – Hamilton Island Weddings

We planned 3 weddings before we finally decided to host an intimate wedding on Hamilton Island. We thought there is no better place with the great reputation that Hamilton Island Weddings has. We landed 2 days before the big day and fell in love straight away.

Emily and Phil – Coral Sea Resort

From the moment we visited Coral Sea Resort for the first time we both fell in love with it and knew it was where we would hold our wedding. We absolutely loved that it provided beautiful location options for both our ceremony and reception which meant our guests did not need to worry about travelling between venues.

Qiret and Alex – Peninsula, Whitehaven Beach and Peppers Pavilion

We wanted a simple but beautiful wedding as the natural backdrop is stunning so we didn’t need to go overboard! I chose coral, gold and ivory as the colour which complimented the turquoise sea and white sand. The reception was decorated with fairy lights, flowers and bunting with sweet soul music playing in the background, it was perfect! :
