Your Love Story…

It was New Year’s Eve 2000 when we got together on the bank of the Brisbane River with friends to watch the fireworks. We had a strong connection that night but neither realised that we had found our soul mate. That night was the beginning of our lives together and we have been inseparable ever since. Raymond proposed to me on top of Mt Gravatt Look Out after a very romantic dinner.

Destination Wedding…

We wanted a beach wedding and after doing some research on the internet we came across The Wedding Planners Whitsundays website and found the Elope Perfectly package. We had never been to the Whitsundays before so knew it was for us.

The best thing about a destination wedding has to be the location. Whitehaven Beach is the most beautiful place on earth!!

Whitsunday Wedding Week…

We were in the Whitsundays for 11 days. The night before the wedding we had dinner at Walter’s Lounge which was fabulous!

Your Vision…

We wanted a beach wedding – barefoot and casual and all about us. We wanted something very low key and natural – what could be more natural than Whitehaven Beach!

We did a hand fasting as part of our ceremony – once it was all done our celebrant Donna held onto our ribbon. She had placed it in her bag for safe keeping however a seagull had spotted it and tried to pinch it out of her bag and fly off with it. Donna stopped him just in time!!!

Honeymoon Heaven…

We island hopped from Airlie Beach over to Hamilton Island and then over to Hayman Island.

Splurge Vs Save…

We splurged on our rings – Stones Jewellers in Brisbane is the most exquisite jewellery shop ever!

Your Whitsunday Venue…

We have always loved the beach and I have always wanted to get married on the beach so Whitehaven was just the perfect location for us.

Peppers is a beautiful setting for a reception and even though it was only the two of us, the staff looked after us beautifully and made us feel special.

Amy and Adams beachside boho wedding

Amy and Adam – Hamilton Island

Featuring hints of mint and pops of pink the colour scheme created a youthful and playful feel to the day and was the perfect accompaniment to the tropical islands backdrop of lush green gardens and azure sea.

Kaylee and Joel – Peninsula and Waterline On Shingley

For our wedding, we wanted somewhere near the beach with a fun, causal and loving atmosphere. We started looking overseas, but the logistics seemed too hard. Also we took into consideration the travel for some our guests.

SJ and David – Whitehaven Beach and Hamilton Island

Our plans for the wedding had to evolve almost over night. Before we left for Australia we had seen Cyclone Debbie forming and a few friends asked if that would effect us? I was sure that it would be long gone and everything would be cleaned up in a day or two. Little did I know the ferocity of the cyclone come landfall.
