Why the Whitsundays…

We wanted to be married somewhere different. Somewhere that would be little fuss but still be beautiful and perfect. After seeing the pictures of Whitehaven, we never gave anywhere else a second thought.

Wedding Week…

We arrived two days before the wedding and stayed for a week after. While we were there we took the ferry out to Day Dream and Hamilton Islands. We also hired a car and did a little sight-seeing which included Bredles Wildlife Farm and Cedar Creek Falls.

Your Vision…

We didn’t have a theme. We just wanted something fun and easy. Once we had decided on Whitehaven Beach. We then decided to personalize our ceremony, by including a sand ceremony. Making it more unique for us.

Bride’s Wisdom…

If you are thinking about eloping. Stop. Don’t think about it, just do it. Eloping was the best thing we ever did. It gave us the opportunity to experience a hassle free day, in a location that was perfect for us. All we had to focus on was marrying each other (while Total Weddings took care of the rest)

Destination Wedding LOVE…

The best thing about having a destination wedding for me was, I was able to marry the man of my dreams in location that dreams are made of.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the people at Total Weddings, who helped us create the perfect wedding day. Without them I would have been a total mess. Nothing was too big or small a task and the attention to detail was second to none. One small example of this was, we decided to do a trash the wedding dress session and because we wanted to throw colour at each other there were rules and regulations we had to abide by (as the Whitsundays is environmentally protected) but with the help of Helen (our wedding planner) she made it all possible. So thank you Total Weddings for helping give us a hassle, care free and perfect day. And the biggest thank you of all to our parent’s for giving us their blessing to elope and sharing our special day with us. We could not have done it without you!

Rachel and Mark – Luxury Yacht Wedding

The only thing that guests were aware of was that we were getting married…we sent invitations that read “join us at Airlie Beach at 2pm”…the rest was a surprise. Both of us love boats and being out on the water, and we knew that was at the heart of what we wanted from our day. Also to give our friends and family a once in a lifetime experience of being on board a luxury yacht in one of the most pristine places on Earth!

Victorita and Jarred – Whitehaven Beach and Whitsunday Pavilion

This gorgeous young couple wanted to escape to the most beautiful seaside location and experience a barefoot wedding by the ocean. It was only natural that they ended up becoming newlyweds in the coastal town of Airlie Beach.

Jodie and Callan – Daydream Island

Jodie and Callan were treated to a seaside ceremony at Lover’s Cove with the most calmest of Whitsunday winter days. Flat seas and high scattered clouds created for some postcard perfect photos.
