Destination Wedding…

Josh and I had some family drama unfold 7 months before our actually big wedding plans which we had all arranged for back in Perth on Rottnest Island. After some consideration we decided to call it all off from all the pressure and anxiety we were feeling from everybody else’s wishes and expectations. In August 2017 we decided we wanted to be together so much and we wanted to move on with our life after being together for 6 years. We have always dreamed of going to the Whitsundays and I came across a “Too good o be true” wedding planner over there. I got in touch with them and it all sounded perfect!!! Josh and I decided to book it all in and then tell our immediate family only about our plans and that if they wished to be a part of it we would love that, we also had a best friend each come as our witnesses. We couldn’t have asked or wished for a more perfect day!! We wouldn’t have changed a thing and look forward to annual trips back for our anniversary.

We used The Wedding Planners Whitsundays who helped us with all of our suppliers and everybody was absolutely amazing and so friendly!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of people to help us make our day our dream come true. I would recommend each of them to anybody who wanted to marry in the Whitsundays.

Brides Wisdom…

DO IT FOR YOU!!! Weddings bring out the best and worst in people but at the end of the day you must be happy, you are starting a journey with your husband to be, your new family in the making. Everything needs to be what you both want. Love and support each other and don’t worry about anybody else. It’s their loss if they choose not to support it.

Whitsunday Wedding…

Josh and I love to get away on little trips to places we haven’t been to, Whitsundays is always somewhere we have wanted to venture to, but its not the cheapest from Perth to travel to. With such AMAZING planners over there to organise everything, it was an absolute given that it was meant to be!

Josh and I flew over to Whitehaven Beach on our own with our photographer for our photoshoot.  It was wonderful to be able to spend this time on our own, getting beautiful photos and having a picnic on the beach.

Honeymoon Heaven…

Our honeymoon was a getaway to explore Hamilton Island and we loved every minute of it!

Amy and Andrew – Whitehaven Beach

The hardest part was deciding where exactly to get married, as there are so many beautiful beaches in Australia. Once we had decided on the Whitsunday Islands, it was a matter of booking the flights, the seaplane, a celebrant, our photographer and arranging the accommodation and dinner for four people, basically the makings of a great holiday, it was that simple!

Whitsunday Wedding on Hamilton Island

Stuart and Emily – Hamilton Island

We wanted a really classy formal wedding being a black tie event, there were no colour themes other then whites and creams and lots of greenery at the reception. All of the bridesmaids outfits were ivory, the flower arrangements all creams and whites with lots of greenery for the bridal table.

Kayla and Andrew – Whitsunday Marine Club

The Marine Club proved to be the perfect venue choice for Kayla and Matt’s wedding. The expansive space allowed for a sit down reception indoors with plenty of room outside on the lawn for partying the night away.
