Your Love Story…

Brett surprised me and proposed after 8 years of dating on a holiday with my Brother and his wife on the ski fields at Caronda in New Zealand in August 2015.

Wedding Day Vision…

I don’t know what theme I would class my wedding as – Roxanne did say rustic a few times haha. My decorations were very simple and classic.

Destination Wedding…

For us the best part of hosting a destination wedding was having all our family and friends together, the weather was perfect and the ceremony and reception location had a backdrop.

My tips if you are planning  a destination wedding is to choose somewhere not too far for guests travel and somewhere affordable. We have both always loved Airlie Beach and thought it was a great location for our wedding.

We wanted a destination wedding because we didn’t want the celebration to be over in one day. We wanted it to be like a mini vacation with all our closest family and friends.

Brides Wisdom…

There was a few things that didn’t go to plan on the day but I didn’t let anything stress me out – I just enjoyed the day and took everything in. I would recommend a wedding planner if you can afford it.

I like being on time and turned out brides aren’t supposed to be – the bridal arrived before some guests.

Whitsunday Wedding at Coral Sea Resort

Alana and Vladslav – Coral Sea Resort

Vlad and I decided to have a very small wedding with only 6 guests! Having an intimate wedding on the Coral Sea provided the perfect experience for my husband and I who wanted a simple, beautiful, classic beach wedding. Keeping the décor white and crystal provided a beautiful contrast to the turquoise water as the backdrop.

Amy and Andrew – Whitehaven Beach

The hardest part was deciding where exactly to get married, as there are so many beautiful beaches in Australia. Once we had decided on the Whitsunday Islands, it was a matter of booking the flights, the seaplane, a celebrant, our photographer and arranging the accommodation and dinner for four people, basically the makings of a great holiday, it was that simple!

Belinda and Daniel – Marina Shores and Waterline On Shingley

A stunning seaside lawn set in the grounds of a popular Whitsunday resort allowed Belinda and Daniel to host a picturesque private ceremony with a surprisingly small price tag attached.
