We loved the idea of a Paradise away, the destination, scenery, peace, tranquillity and such an incredible expanse of beauty and nature to immerse ourselves in. We stayed in the Whitsundays for 5 days. We went out on a sailing boat and enjoyed the water sports activities.

We didn’t have a theme other than something that was beachy and embraced nature. We had our ceremony on Whitehaven Beach. We flew out by helicopter and had the thrill and adventure associated with this, and seeing the Whitsundays from above was absolutely spectacular. We didn’t have a reception, as we eloped! ? We had a perfect evening together with just the two of us at the Coral Sea Resort where we were staying.

My dress was an above the knee lace dress with sweetheart neckline, with a chiffon overlay attached to the lace bodice that flowed to the ankle. The dress had off the shoulder chiffon ties. Technical description aside, I felt it was the most appropriate dress for a tropical beach setting. It was a dress that enabled me to perfectly transition from the beach to something more formal with an elegant set of heels. I also had a delightful bouquet of white lilies and frangipani’s which added a splash of colour but still nicely blending with the dress. He wore a Classic Blue Hugo Boss suit and light blue Boss shirt which captured the theme of varying colours in the ocean at Whitehaven Beach and a perfect clear blue sky.

We were so lucky to be treated to a majestic day with absolutely perfect weather! Topped off of course with a helicopter flight to our ceremony, having the pristine Whitehaven Beach to ourselves which gave our wedding photos this incredible postcard scenery in every shot, and having the most amazing attention to detail with the delightful staff from The Wedding Planners Whitsundays and all who were associated with our special day. Instead of looking after everyone else, all the attention was on us. This was a definite highlight.

To remember that this is YOUR day and it should only be about the both of you and what you desire. So many weddings become about trying to please everyone else. In the end, it’s difficult to make everyone happy, so just focus on yourselves and embrace the day.

For us, eloping made perfect sense. Hassle free and totally about us! We had a get together with friends and family afterwards.

Thank you so much to our wonderful photographer who captured amazing photos of us and all involved with The Wedding Planners Whitsundays. We would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants simplicity, elegance, special attention and a mesmerizing day enmeshed with the beauty of the Whitsundays. We had the most divine time and this was captured so incredibly beautifully on film. We really feel blessed and have so much gratitude when we reflect on our special day. We can’t help but smile!

Mel and Jay – Whitehaven Beach and Coral Sea Resort

After looking at local options, as opposed to heading back to Geelong, Victoria to be closer to extended family and friends and considering many options in between, we chose to stay close and keep it simple.

Whitsunday Wedding on Hamilton Island

Stuart and Emily – Hamilton Island

We wanted a really classy formal wedding being a black tie event, there were no colour themes other then whites and creams and lots of greenery at the reception. All of the bridesmaids outfits were ivory, the flower arrangements all creams and whites with lots of greenery for the bridal table.

Whitsunday Wedding at Coral Sea Resort

Alana and Vladslav – Coral Sea Resort

Vlad and I decided to have a very small wedding with only 6 guests! Having an intimate wedding on the Coral Sea provided the perfect experience for my husband and I who wanted a simple, beautiful, classic beach wedding. Keeping the décor white and crystal provided a beautiful contrast to the turquoise water as the backdrop.
