This years gorgeous EXPO models were styled by Carnie-Lee at Airlie Beach Hair and Makeup, Joanne Dromgold Makeup and Samantha Richardson Hair and Makeup. These amazing ladies specialise in weddings and between them have over 45 years of experience in the industry.

Carnie says that this years styling inspiration came from the elegant laced detail in the dresses from the Boho Bridal range.

This seasons brides are after styles a little less formal, using soft braids, waves, fishtails and incorporating fresh flowers and foliage into the hairstyles. Most brides want to look as natural and as beautiful as possible, almost effortlessly

Carnie believes that bohemian bridal hair has been one of the hottest trends these last couple of years and she understand why the trend has lasted so much longer than usual wedding styling trends.

Bohemian bridal hair goes well with so many different themes and styles, from complementing a romantic gown to a simple beach wedding.

Carnie’s inspiration for the fashion show came from many different ideals of boho and using hair pieces for added volume or length. She also says that the hair jewels this season are finer, more intricate and can be added and shaped into the styles as opposed to just one large piece. She is also seeing a lot of soft braided styles using headpieces to add a touch of glam, these are the contemporary version of the classic tiara.

We are also seeing lots of loose curls and waves with flower crowns made from seasonal flowers and brides are still choosing to wear veils.

The key to all of this is creating soft, romantic styles that are feminine, elegant and much more natural than in past seasons.
