We met through mutual friends, and there was attraction from the first time we saw each other! We have been together for 10 years now 🙂 we got married just shy of our 10th anniversary. Justin surprised me, by proposing to me at my 21st Birthday party in front of 50 people. It was so sweet, he did it during his speech and had a hand painted sign saying “will you marry me? in gold glitter” and a big bunch of flowers, he got on one knee and asked as he revieled the sign. It was beautiful!

We chose the Whitsundays as our wedding location because it is somewhere we have always wanted to go; stunning!

We stayed for seven days and went on a half day cruise to Whitehaven Beach! We never wanted to leave, the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen! Pristine beautiful untouched beach!

I just wanted the wedding day to be simple, but also romantic.

The highlight of our wedding day was the amount of LOVE that was present on the day and the calmness that takes over when you see your husband to be, and that our nearest and dearest could be with us!

My advice to future brides is to ENJOY every single second, because it goes SO FAST! Months of planning, stressing, anxiety. Right up until the second you lay eyes on them. It all goes away and nothing else matters in that exact moment. Enjoy every second, take lots of photos 🙂 and relax!

If I were to change anything about my day I would have focused on getting more pictures, because I love them all; and would loved to have had a million!

We had a family moon! With our 6 year old son, we drove from Brisbane to Airlie Beach, and stayed at the Boathouse Appartments by outrigger! We did an all in one!

Anything else you’d like to say about your special day?

I would like to recommend; Roxy from The Wedding Planners Whitsundays, she is absolutely amazing at what she does, from the minute I made contact with her, she did everything perfectly!! Annie Lloyd-Lewis our celebrant, so calming and so beautiful with her kindness and words! Deb from Tropix Photography, amazing at what she does, during the ceremony you don’t realise she is there, she works her magic the whole way through! Joanne Dromgold make up artist! Perfect made me look like a princess! And Luisa from Whitsundays Wedding Hair Lounge, works wonders with hair! Whitsundays Baked Creations: mouth watering delish cake! Thank you for all of your hard work 🙂

Amy and Adams beachside boho wedding

Amy and Adam – Hamilton Island

Featuring hints of mint and pops of pink the colour scheme created a youthful and playful feel to the day and was the perfect accompaniment to the tropical islands backdrop of lush green gardens and azure sea.

Mel and Jay – Whitehaven Beach and Coral Sea Resort

After looking at local options, as opposed to heading back to Geelong, Victoria to be closer to extended family and friends and considering many options in between, we chose to stay close and keep it simple.

Helen and Gordon – Headland Park and Coral Sea Resort

With their hearts set on a seaside ceremony and an outdoors reception under the stars, this Melbourne couple decided it was just too risky to host their wedding in their home city renowned for its very unpredictable weather.
