Airlie Beach held some great memories for Mark and I as we got engaged on Whitehaven Beach after a helicopter ride over the “heart of the reef” just over 12 months prior to our wedding. It’s not easy trying to pick a venue in the Whitsundays as there are so many possibilities but the moment we set our eyes on Villa Botanica nothing else compared, the venue was everything we had imagined and more. Villa looked after us every step of the way and there service on our wedding day was flawless.  Thank you to Michelle and Georgie for their incredible service. Our ceremony was filled with laughter and tears and we will be forever grateful to our friends and family who travelled to be there with us to celebrate. Both Mark and I were very happy with our celebrant Sandra Rerrie from Elegant Ceremonies, we felt very comfortable and relaxed with her service. Our reception had a relaxed atmosphere with an impeccable view overlooking the ocean. A big thank you to Brooke Miles our photographer who captured some amazing moments that we will cherish forever. We felt very comfortable with Brooke and she made it her upmost importance not to take us away from the “celebration”. I wouldn’t change one thing about our wedding day, everything was perfect and I would definitely recommend the Whitsundays.

Qiret and Alex – Peninsula, Whitehaven Beach and Peppers Pavilion

We wanted a simple but beautiful wedding as the natural backdrop is stunning so we didn’t need to go overboard! I chose coral, gold and ivory as the colour which complimented the turquoise sea and white sand. The reception was decorated with fairy lights, flowers and bunting with sweet soul music playing in the background, it was perfect! :

Whitsunday Wedding at Coral Sea Resort

Angela and Richard – Coral Sea Resort

When Richard and I got married we wanted somewhere a little bit different. With guests coming all the way from South Africa and New Zealand, we also wanted to give them a great experience of Australia. With the Great Barrier Reef on its doorstep, warm climate all year round and ability to cater to all budgets Airlie Beach was the perfect choice.

Whitsunday Wedding on Hamilton Island

Stuart and Emily – Hamilton Island

We wanted a really classy formal wedding being a black tie event, there were no colour themes other then whites and creams and lots of greenery at the reception. All of the bridesmaids outfits were ivory, the flower arrangements all creams and whites with lots of greenery for the bridal table.
