Your Love Story…

We met in high school and didn’t start dating till after high school.

Destination Wedding…

We originally had booked a holiday to the Whitsundays and after talking about it decided to elope up there instead. Everything worked out amazingly and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision.

Why the Whitsundays…

We had never visited before, everyone should. It’s incredible and everyone is so warm and lovely.

We stayed for 5 nights, we had our immediate family and friends with us the whole time which was great. We got to share our entire trip with them.

Wedding Day Vision…

I just wanted something modern, and simple with gold and white. The Villa Botanica team and our in house coordinator Gemma, were so helpful and accommodating and just incredible and were able to help us so much with picking décor and food as we hadn’t been to view Villa Botanica till the day before the wedding. We just had simple gold charger plates with laser cut wooden names as place cards with orchids in glass bowls and tea light candles as the centerpieces. My flowers were an incredible mix of green and white and it all went perfectly. My dress was a simple off the shoulder lace dress, It fit so snug and was perfect for our simple yet modern theme.

Sit Down or Cocktail…

We only had immediate family and our closest friends so a total of 13 people. It was a sit down dinner with incredible food.

Splurge Vs Save….

Because we were eloping, it wasn’t so expensive but spending the money for an amazing venue and photographer were our priority. My mum always said she regretted her photographer for her wedding and I didn’t want the same regret, needless to say we loved Nadine, she fit us perfectly. It felt so natural to have her take our photos and just spend time with us. We are so grateful we found her.

Whitsunday Wedding Venue…

A friend of ours found it and enquired for us after our original venue was effected by Cyclone Debbie. It worked out for us as Villa Botanica is an incredible place and the team there will go above and beyond for you. They are truly amazing at what they do there and we were so happy that we were able to get married there.

Nick and Gyan – Villa Botanica and The Palm House

The Palm House was perfect for the reception, all our guests were in the one place and no one had to worry about traveling. It was like having our own little family village and gave everyone a good opportunity to mingle before the wedding day.

Sam and Jen – Chance Bay Whitsunday Island

Sam proposed to Jen whilst on a Whitsunday holiday so it seemed only fitting that the pair return to the tropical paradise for their elopement. The couple opted for a true elopement with absolutely no guests present leaving them all the time in the world to indulge in each others companies whilst in the Whitsundays.
